Who we are

VideoMark is a desktop app sold by madebybigb on Gumroad. This Privacy Policy explains what information is handled when you buy, activate, and use VideoMark.

Information we collect

Purchase and license data: When you buy VideoMark on Gumroad, Gumroad processes your payment and account details under Gumroad’s own privacy policy. We receive license-related information needed to fulfill your purchase (for example your Gumroad purchase/license key and related entitlement data).

Device activation: To enforce the device limit (up to 3 devices), the app generates a device fingerprint from local machine identifiers and sends it to our license API when you activate or re-validate a license. We store that fingerprint with your license so we can count and manage device slots.

App usage stored on your device: Settings, projects, recent sessions, metadata profiles, and similar preferences stay on your computer. We do not receive your beat files, cover art, exported videos, or metadata drafts unless you choose to upload content through a third-party service (such as YouTube).

YouTube connection: If you use YouTube Upload, VideoMark opens Google’s OAuth flow. Access and refresh tokens are stored locally on your device (protected with OS features where available). Uploads and listing data go directly to Google/YouTube under Google’s terms and privacy policy. We do not operate a server that stores your YouTube tokens or video files.

Diagnostics: The app may show version and update information from our public releases feed. We do not sell advertising profiles or run third-party ad trackers inside the app.

How we use information

Deliver and validate your license, enforce the device limit, and prevent abuse of keys.

Provide auto-update metadata so you can install newer signed builds.

Respond to support requests you send us.

Comply with law when required.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

Processors we rely on include Gumroad (checkout and delivery) and our license API host (Cloudflare Workers or equivalent) for activation checks. Google processes YouTube OAuth and uploads when you use that feature.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the product.

Retention

License and device-slot records are kept while your license remains active and as needed for fraud prevention and support. Local tokens and settings remain until you delete them or uninstall. You can disconnect YouTube in the app to remove stored YouTube credentials from the app’s local store.

Your choices

Do not activate online if you do not want device fingerprinting for license enforcement.

Disconnect YouTube and clear local data anytime. Uninstalling removes local app data subject to OS leftovers.

For purchase/account changes, use Gumroad’s tools for your Gumroad account.

Children

VideoMark is intended for adults and business/creator use. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the YouTube Upload feature in a way that violates YouTube’s child-directed content rules.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy for ongoing use of the product.
